Both MT4 and MT5 allow you to place market orders, pending orders, stop loss and take profit orders.
On MT4, you can place:
- Buy and Sell market orders
- Buy Limit and Sell Limit pending orders
- Buy Stop and Sell Stop pending orders
- Stop Loss and Take Profit levels
On MT5, you can place the same order types as MT4, with the addition of:
- Buy Stop Limit
- Sell Stop Limit
Pending orders may also include expiration settings, depending on the platform and order type.
